preserved area !Gresse en Vercors, at the heart of the Natural, Regional Parc in the Vercors (PNRV) hosts a wide variety of fauna and flora, notably in the natural reserve of the highest plateau in the Vercors which is the largest, natural reserve in France. On a surface area of 17000 hectares, there are 1800 flower species of which 80 are protected, 60 orchid species, 135 nesting-bird species, 65 mammal species and 6 wild, hoofed mammals.
