Cross Country Downhill skiing is accessible to all, with no experience required. It is a cross between cross-country, skating, telemarking and downhill skiing. Beginners are welcome on easy gentle slopes. Experienced skiers can venture onto to steeper terrain.

Cross Country Downhill skiing is as efficient as snow shoes for mountain climbing (you can add  skins), and is great fun on the downhill descent.  

Cross Country Downhill skiing does not require groomed slopes and is easily accessible on unpaved snow terrain.

Equipment Cross Country Downhill skis have an intermediate width between downhill and cross-country skis. They are equipped with anti-slip scales and wax, and seal skins if needed. Specialized boots and bindings allow free heel movement.

Our select models :

  • Scarpa T4 boots : rigid form in 75mm, allowing excellent turn control, especially on uneven terrain. This model allows beginners to perfect the technique as well as allow intermediate skiers to progress. The T4 high-rise boot provides : ankle and shin protection to allow you to progress in powder, and a Vibram sole for terrain access and thermal protection.
  • Madshus Epoch II Skis : are in itself a unique evolution Cross Country Downhill skiing! They are versatile and offer a compromise on flat terrain as well as on the slope : easy to ski, carefree turning, optimal glide, and efficiency in all snow conditions. Beginning and intermediate skiers will appreciate the ease of use, ideal carves, and lightness.
  • Outtabounds Fischer Skis : a fun ski with a parabolic curve. A versatile, all terrain, robuste ski  for beginners and beginning-intermediate skiers.
